We are living in a world of technology. Any technology that you are seeing around is a result of innovation. Humans, from the beginning of humanity, are able to think and translating the idea that comes in their mind, into a thing that can ease their life. The thing that they produce is what we called as technology.

Technology makes our life very simple, easy and convenient. Almost every industry is using the latest technology to produce goods or services.
Industries are now using machines and robots for production but previously they used to hire human labours for production of goods. It means that now everything is automated, i.e. humans are replaced by machines and this is what we called Automation.
Advantages of Automation
The main advantages of automation in Industries are-

- Improved robustness of process or service.
- Save a lot of time.
- Reduce work handling time.
- Reduced direct human labor costs and expenses.
- Can complete tasks where a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Machines can also work in dangerous conditions whersas humans can't.
Despite of many advantages, there are some disadvantages of automation as well.
Disadvantages of Automation
- Replacement of workers by machines, leads to unemployment.
- Initial cost of machines is high.

The first disadvantage is a big problem so lets look at it-
According to PwC, By the mid-2030s, up to 30% of jobs could be automatable.
According to Oxford Economics, 20 million manufacturing jobs will be lost to automation by 2030.
But on the other hand, there is a report from World Economic Forum which says that Artificial Intelligence will create 58 million new jobs by 2022.
