We all are very much familiar Sanskrit
Shlola. But do we religiously follow it? The Covid crises led to face the
reality. It didn't break the system, COVID actually exposed a broken system. A
system, a management infrastructure in which all rural population is enslaved.
Yoga originated in India. But except
India, worldwide countries give
importance to yoga. Do you know why? Its because everything needs particular
importance from Government, which now has been initiated by current one. We are unaware of our own body mechanism.
In
Covid crises, India has recovered over 30,000 patients viz. 32% of total cases.
Shouldn't healthcare be fundamental right?
We all know ,the frontline corona warriors
have lack of personal protection equipments (PPE), ventilators. Peoples are
quarantined in dusty buildings, where in America and China, every single
patient gets a luxury treatment weather
poor or rich.
Public health services are understaffed and
under-resourced. Our healthcare budget is < 2% of GDP . It's the time to
raise healthcare as fundamental right and Robust health services.
Idea is to give Immunization, Disease
surveillance, Integrated Primary case system, Care with most sophisticated
ventilators and Surge capacity. Are we delivering quality healthcare?
What percent of GDP is sufficient?
Large Point of view is "Healthcare is
all about Big Private Hospitals ". But Covid-19 opened our eyes. Not a
single Private Hospital opened up for infected ones. I think 2-3% Of GDP would
be sufficient for basic and for Universal Health Care System (UHCS).
Generally all rights to fundamental are
centralized. But Healthcare is subject of state as they know to the core.
Wrapping up all I would be glad to see
Government taking interest in healthcare and States having groups of public
healthcare experts, health activists, a
framework, Workfare Plus Awareness Programme so that last man of country gets
help till his last breath.
Because only if we are healthy and fit then
only we can contribute to our Nation.
Exercise daily, Stay safe, Stay home.
So what's your next step?
India's health policy
