The founder of Reliance Jio Mukesh Ambani has announced recently that the 5G network of JIO will be ready to launch in the second half of the year 2021. With this announcement, once again the speculation of the collision of Ambani's Jio and Mittal's Airtel companies has intensified.
As, Airtel has been one of the most trusted telecom brand of India since beginning of the mobile phone revolution but in the other hand, Jio has given a Neck to Neck fight after the commencement of 4g network in India and the value of airtel telecom has been reduced due to a tough competitor like JIO.
Jio has done a Fabulous work in last two-three years. In this very short time period Jio has became the largest network of India according to the reports of "OOKLA". So far, Reliance Jio has almost completed optical fiber laying across India. Thus, Jio has became the number one contender in the race of launching of 5g network.
Along with it, Jio is looking forward for the partnership with the big mobile brands to make availability of the cheapest 5g phone as possible. Jio announced that it is expanding partnerships with US-based wireless tech yielding Qualcomm to develop 5G solutions. Jio's official statement also said that Qualcomm and Jio have achieved 1 Gbps (Gigabits) over the Jio 5GNR solution using Qualcomm's 5G RAN platform.
- Preperation of Airtel on 5g:
Sunil Mittal, the founder of bharti enterprises, said that they're preparing for a 5G field trial in the country to test real use cases like mobile broadband and wireless at home. His statement clarified that Airtel is also going to launch their 5g network as soon as possible and is ready to give a tough competition to Jio.
Airtel is going to prepare their non-radio layer which is the layer for the transport for the core to get ready for 5G plan execution. They are also getting ready with a lot of digitization and automation use demonstration which are movable to 5G to get ready for the technology. Beginning with Bengaluru and Kolkata, Airtel plans to install the technology in other parts of the country. Mittal stated that the Airtel 5g network may take some time to launch.
Airtel and Jio both are the top class networks. Airtel has been proved as the fastest 4g network whereas Reliance Jio has been the network which is reachable to almost all the places around India. There were 405.6 million subscribers of Reliance Jio and 403 million subscribers of Airtel in a survey of 2019.
The level of both companies is almost equal, which makes the competition between them more interesting. The company which will set up 5g network first will lead in the race and may be considered as the
"Telecom Superpower of India"
