Recently, the new privacy policy of WhatsApp has been greatly criticized by the people. This privacy policy allows WhatsApp to share the personal details of its users to its parent company, Facebook.

Due to this privacy policy of WhatsApp, all users started looking for alternatives, like Signal and Telegram.

On the back of WhatsApp's privacy policy concerns, Sridhar Vembu's Zoho Corp is all set to launch a Desi Messaging app Arattai, which in Tamil means to "chat".

About Zoho:

Zoho Corporation is an Indian multinational technology company, founded by Shridhar Vembu in 1996, headquartered in Chennai, that specializes in software development.

Shridhar Vembu took to Twitter to talk about the app, which is currently being tested in a 'friends and family version'.

Arattai is likely to be rolled out in few weeks.

The application is already available on the play store and has the rating of 4.5 with over 50000 downloads.

It remains to be seen if Arattai will prove to be a worthy competitor for WhatsApp and its Popularity.
